Audio Systems: 1997 pathfinder bose cd player wont work, cigarette smoke, laser pickup

Hey,

I was drving down the road and listen to a cd and then it just quit on me and when i try to play another cd now it wont play it just gives me a ERR thing and then it ejects the cd What should i do?

Any number of faults with the CD player circuits could give an error code. The most common is a dirty/dusty or cigarette smoke on the lens of the laser pickup assembly. You may want to have a repair shop do a manual cleaning of the lens to see if that helps, if not the CD player will need to be serviced.
