Audio Systems: clock time on ford radio, clock button, ford radio

Dear Tom.....No ONE even visteon can answer this so the challenge is on.  I have a 2003 ford f250 lariat with the cassette, single cd am/fm radio.
QUESTION what has to be done to DEFAULT the display to the TIME instead of the radio station.  I can make it default to time after selection a station ONLY if EVERYTIME I press the clock button once.  This is a real pain as evertime the truck is shut off it reverts back to radio station default.  I previously had a 1997 f150 and you could change the default to time over radio station but that doesnt work on this version......I'm sure there is a way.  Good luck and thanks ahead of time for even considering my quest  John

On some models you can press and hold the display button (time)for about 10 seconds to make the clock stay on as a default mode. I'm not sure with this model/year you may want to read over the operation manual for the stereo to see what it says about the time display modes.
