Audio Systems: Coaxial Audio Adapter, antenna connection, incoming signal

Question
I have an old Sanyo TV it only has a coaxial antena connection on the back, is it possible to find an adapter that I can plug headphones into?  I would like to be able to hear the tv when i walk on the treadmill.  Thanks

Answer
Dear Jan,

Sorry, a coaxial antenna connection is a audio+video signal input. It doesn't output anything, much less a signal that could power headphones. The only solution I know of is to connect the audio outputs from the TV to a receiver with a headphone output. Or you can connect the incoming signal from either a cable or satellite to a receiver through a VCR and pick up the TV's audio that way. If either appeals to you, let me know and I'll walk you through the details.

Good luck. And thanks for choosing allexperts.com.

Kindest regards,

Kevin
