Audio Systems: 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Radio/cd removal, dodge ram 3500, radio cassette cd

How do you remove the radio/cassette/cd player from the dash of a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500? My cd player will not except cd's. From reading some of your answers it sounds like a loading sensormight be the problem. Can I replace that piece and how do I idenify the part? Is there a special tool I need to prevent damage to the dash? Thanks a million.

Don,
The trim around the stereo will need to be removed to gain access to the screws that hold the stereo in the dash. As far as the CD problem goes, any number of faults can cause the CD to not load. A defective sensor is the most common cause. If you give me the complete model number of the stereo I will see if I have the service manual to find locations of the sensors.
