Audio Systems: cd changer, lincoln town car, cd changer

I just purchased a 98 Lincoln Town Car with a 6 disc cd changer in the trunk. I feel really stupid but I have no idea how to load this thing. When you push the cd button on the dash it gives the message "No Remote CD". I don't know if this means that it doesn't recognize that a cd changer is installed or just that no cd's are loaded. The changer has an eject button but nothing happens when you push it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check all the wiring to the CD changer to make sure that they are plugged in. You may have to use a 12 volt test lamp to see if the changer has 12 volts to it. If the changer has 12 volts to it and if you press the eject button you should at least hear the changer mechanics doing something.
