Audio Systems: Bose Car Stereo, nissan pathfinder, problem thanks

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with a Bose 6 disc stacker.  Around the 9th to 12th song on every c.d. the player goes silent but you can hear the disc spinning inside.  After about 10 seconds the unit jumps to the next disc.  It does this on home burnt and commercial discs. Any ideas how to solve this problem?  Thanks for your help.

The problem may be due to dirt in the laser sled/drive gears. The unit may also have a fault with the circuits that track the disc. You may want to have an experienced repair shop that services these complex players to take a look at the unit.
