Audio Systems: tapedeck removal, factory stereo, 1997 ford escort

I have a 1997 ford escort and I'am trying to get the factory stereo out. How would I go about doing that?

Look to see if the stereo in question has two small holes on each side of the front panel. If the holes are there you will need to insert large nails into the holes to release the holding clips. If the stereo does not have the holes, the trim around the stereo will need to be taken off to gain access to the screws that hold the stereo into the dash.
