Audio Systems: Hi Tom, getting ERR 2 and..., nissan pathfinder, laser lens

Hi Tom, getting ERR 2 and clicking/no cd eject or play on a 2001 nissan pathfinder bose-clarion 6-cd changer.  Is this repairable for reasonable cost or feasable for resourceful owner to possibly fix?  Please advise.

An error 2 code is either due to the laser lens being dirty or the complete pick up is defective. The problem may also be due to a broken tray inside the changer assembly. You may want to open up the unit and see what is clicking, you may find a broken gear.
