Audio Systems: stock for f-150 cd player not working, ford cd player, sensor circuits

Question
I HAVE A 1998 FACTORY FORD CD PLAYER. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I TRY TO INSERT THE CD THE CD PLAYER DOES NOT GRAB IT AND TAKE IT IN.  WHEN I PUSH IT IN BY HAND THE RADIO STOPS PLAYING BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. THE CD PLAYER WON'T EJECT THE CD EITHER. I HAD TO PULL IT OUT GENTLEY WITH TWEEZERS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?. I BOUGHT THE RADIO OFF E-BAY TO REPLACE MY CASSETTE PLAYER SO I DO NOT HAVE ANY HISTORY ON THE PLAYER.

Answer
david,
Most likely the In load sensor circuits are at fault. Due to the defective sensor/s the CD unit processor won't see that a CD is inside so when you press eject nothing will happen. You may want to have a repair shop take a look at your stereo.
