Audio Systems: CD ejects automatically, rubbing alcohol, qtip

I have a cavalier with an after market cd deck installed, a Panasonic CQDPX303U. Everything works fine except when I put in a CD it thinks for a second then ejects it. I tried cleaning the lense, Is there anything else I can do?

If you haven't already, try doing a manual cleaning of the lens in the laser pick up. You will need to pull the stereo out of the dash to do so. Once you have the stereo out, take off the top cover and look at the lens in the pick up to see if it is dirty. Use a Qtip dampened with rubbing alcohol and gently rub the lens to clean it.
