Audio Systems: Bose radio, nissan maxima, premium system

Question
I have a 1994 Nissan Maxima with a Bose CD/Tape combo. The board went bad so I found another unit, but it is from a 1996 Maxima. The plug-ins are different. Is it possible for me to take the board out of the 1996 and put it in the 1994 unit, or could i get a different wiring harness? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may want to cut the wiring harness out of the vehicle that the 96 stereo came out of. Also you can purchase a wiring adapter that plugs onto the factory stereo connector in the dash of the 94 Nissan. All you have to do now is to connect the correct wires for speakers and power. This procerure will only work if both stereos are a premium system or non premium. In most cases a premium stereo system will use external amplifiers.
