Audio Systems: High performance alternator??, farad capacitor, high output alternator

I have recently purchased a 3000wat amp and a couple 12'subs. I also purchased a 3 farad capacitor but i also have a separate 1000wat amp and a new deck with 4 speakers.  I have a 93 Subaru Impreza with a stock alternator. Do you think i need a new high performance alternator or can i survive with the og?  If so where would you recomend i go to find a good high current alt. and how cheap would it be?             Thank you,  Kyle

With the 1K and the 3K amps you will need a high output alternator and possibly a second battery mounted in the trunk. An alternator of at least 120-130 amps should be OK. An alternator of this amperage output will cost about $150 give or take. Any good auto parts outlet should be able to supply a high output alternator.
