Audio Systems: Stereo removal and install, flat head screwdriver, chrysler town and country

I am having difficulties removing a Pioneer super tuner tape deck with removable face plate from my 1999 Chrysler Town and country. I have tried to slide a flat head screwdriver around the exterior of the stereo in the hopes of finding some type of clips to remove the stereo. Unfortunately, this has resulted in no success. In place of the Pioneer I am installing a Metrix am/fm cd player.  Is this an easy job to tackle or would I be better off taking it to Professionals to be installed.

To release the side latches you can use two flat pieces of metal about 1/4" wide and about 5" long. Slide the thin metal pieces into the small slots on each side of the stereo to unlock the spring clips holding the stereo in. If this doesn't work out you may want to stop by a car stereo install shop and see if they sell the Pioneer release tools.
