Audio Systems: replacing factory with pioneer cd changer, pioneer cd changer, ford factory

2001 FORD Expedition xlt. Recently, my factory 6 cd changer stopped reading cd's. It displays empty magazine. I have a pioneer 6 cd changer I'd like to replace it with. Seats in the center console perfectly wher the factory one is. Is it possible to purchase connector harness to make the switch. What is the difficulty rate. Thanks.

Installing the changer may work if you can locate the proper adapter to interface the pioneer to the Ford factory head unit. The adapter will allow the Pioneer to talk back and forth to the head unit.
