Audio Systems: Head Unit Installation, kia dealer, kia sportage

I just bought a 2002 Kia Sportage and I am trying to replace the factory head unit.  I would know what to do if only I could get the factory radio out.  I have experimented with trying to take the dash panels off but I am stuck.  If you could tell me how to go about getting the old one out I would truely appreciate it.

I don't have a repair book for this vehicle. You may want to contact your local Kia dealer and ask the service dept how to remove the factory stereo. I can tell you from experience that on most of these vehicles the dash trim around the stereo will snap/pull away from the dash.
