Audio Systems: CD changer stuck (97 Quest), nissan quest, cd changer

Hi Tom:

I have a 97 Nissan Quest that has the original 6-disk CD changer. Last week, I replaced 1 of the CDs with another and put them back to the changer. I tried playing the CD but it won't play. The display now says "NO CD". I tried pressing the eject button but it didn't work. I tried pushing the CDs further into the deck (with just a moderate force) hoping it would help, but it didn't. Right now, all I'm interested in is simply taking out the CDs so that I could play it somewhere else. Thanks in advance for your help!

To remove the CDs with causing more damage to the CD changer assembly you will have to take the stereo out of the dash. Once you have the stereo out of the dash you have to remove the top cover to gain access to the CD deck to manually move the CDs out of the changer.
