Audio Systems: 94 Ford Explorer Speaker Wiring No Harness, boom box, speaker wiring

I am tryin to install a cheap car radio (my old one wouldnt even turn on), there are wires on the back of the radio and no harness in my vehicle. I have power but no sound...where or how can I find out which wires in my truck connect to the speaker wires on the radio...plz help...leaving out of town soon with 3 kids and it just might be a long quiet ride..... :(

if you have no wiring harness, you wont be able to hook it up unless you run new wiring. without electronic knowledge, i doubt you will be able to accomplish this without ripping doors apart to locate/install wiring. easiest approach; get supply of batteries for ghetto blaster (boom box or other portable stereo) sorry, but that's all i can offer at this time.....g.....
