How easy is it to remove a stereo unit from a 2001 PT Cruiser and does the factory installed unit have an aux input jack in the back?

The stereo may have a small jack for an external input, however without a model number I couldn't tell you for sure. If you need to connect up an external CD player or some other device, the easiest way would be to install a RF modulator unit in the antenna cable. With RF modulator installed you will have to tune your FM stereo to a certain station to listen to whatever device that you would like to listen to.
