Audio Systems: 96 taurus radio audio, audio amp, ford dealer

 I have a stock audio system in a 96 taurus, my problem is when i put it in gear the audio quits but the power and reception is still working but audio works in park or neutral.

Without the complete model number of the stereo in your vehicle it would be hard to say what could be causing the problem. When putting the vehicle in gear it may cause something in the vehicles electrical system to interfere with an external audio amp for the stereo if one is used. You may want to contact your local Ford dealer and ask if any service memos were issued for your vehicle reguarding this problem.
