Audio Systems: Instalation of BTA 10200 (200watt Bazooka Subwoofer), 2000 mazda millenia, mazda millenia s

Question
what would happen if you connected the high level input leads from the sub to  low level outputs from the deck?  Are bose speaker wire leads from the deck high or low level outputs?  Would you get as much base as hooking up to a high level inputs to low level outputs?

Question -
I have a 2000 Mazda Millenia S with a factory installed Bose 6 disc system with 2 amplifiers.  I am trying to figure out how to install my Bazooka sub using high level inputs.  Normally I could tap into the rear speaker leads near the speakers but since they are amplified this is not possible.  Where do you suggest I tap into to get my signal for the sub? Or is there any other way to accomplish this part of the installation?  Do I need to find the speaker wires that are not amplified?  How is that done?  Thanks for the help.

Pete,
On a sound system such as your system you will need a low to low level adapter/isolator. This isolator will connect to the left and right rear line outputs on the head unit. To drive these 200 watt subwoofers you will NEED an amp of at least 150-200 watts of output power.

Answer
Pete,
If the Bazooka subwoofers have built in amps that are powered by 12 volts then you could connect the inputs to the amp(bazooka) by using the LOW level outputs of the head unit. The Bose head unit has low level outputs that go to each speaker/amp combo unit.
