Audio Systems: Wiring Diagram, premium sound system, wire colors

I just took out my Lincoln 97 Contintal's Factory Sterio. I put in my new one and have power to it but I had to cut off harness from speakers. I have constant power connect and inition power connected and ground connect. I need to know what color the power attenta is and why there is 10 speaker wires but my cd player only have 8? Can you help on colors?

The first problem that you created was to cut off the connectors. You could have purchased adapter connectors that you plug onto the factory connectors to wire up the new stereo. All the wires on these adapters are labeled for what they are used for. As for the 10 wires, this system may be a premium sound system that uses an external amp. You may be able to find what wires colors are used for what by going to,  streetdreams.com  If you can not find the wire colors there you may need to call your local Lincoln dealer and ask the service dept for the wire assignments.
