Audio Systems: soundsystem for 88 Accura legend, alpine amps, alpine system

i have 4 6 1/2 alpine 200w max speakers installed with my factory head unit. I plan on installing an all alpine system. I will be purchasing a new head unit and install 2 12' subs. My question is how many amplifiers should i purchase, what wats, and what type of alpine amps. Should i get a capacitor to handle the extra power? or any other advice you recomend?

With 200 watt speakers you will need at least a 150 watt amp the drive the speakers. A second battery in the trunk will help give the amp the extra power that it needs. The battery will need to be charged by the alternator thru an isolation diode. You could also use one or two of those monster caps instead of a second battery to give the amp a little extra power boost.
