Audio Systems: Installation problem, panasonic cq, factory stereo

Question
Tom,

i just got my first car and although its kind of a pile i decided to replace the stereo. I purchased a Panasonic CQ-C1120U reciever from crutchfield.com They sent all of the hook up parts that i need but when i removed my factory stereo none of the wires were color coded. The car is a 1989 Dodge Spirt with a plane factory system. How can i find out which wires are which?
Thanks,
Joe

Answer
Joe,
If you purchased all the install parts they should have included the adapter connector that you plug onto the original factory stereo connector in the dash. This connector should have all the wires marked for what they are used for such as, power, ground and speakers.
