Audio Systems: Chrysler radio with no sound, blown fuse, cassete

Question
I recently removed the dash from my 1997 LHS.  When I hooked everything back up (I had already reconnected the battery)I saw a spark jump from the unit to the ground strap that I was attaching to the radio.  The radio has power, the cd player seems to be turning, all the lights work but no sound.  Chrysler cd/cassete/am/fm/dolby made by mitsubishi elect. What can I do?

Answer
Richard,
Try disconnecting the battery again and then reconnect it after about 5 minutes. In some cases this will reset the stereo and it may work again. If this stereo is a premium stereo you may want to look for a blown fuse for an external amp.
