Audio Systems: Kenwood car CD player problem, car cd player, rca cables

Question
I just installed a Kenwood KDC-MPV5025 in my girlfriends car using an aftermarket wiring harness which plugged directly into the factory BMW harness.  Everything works perfectly except for the CD player.  It appears on the display that the CD is being read and playing but there is no sound comming from the speakers.  In the tuner mode, everything works as it should with music coming through the speakers as it should. I have scoured the manual trying to find out what could be causing this problem to no avail.

Answer
Kenny,
On some stereos with CD players they will use RCA cables to output the CD audio to an external amp. Double check your install instructions to see if this is the case. I will look over the service info to see if there is anything about this problem.
