Audio Systems: FM Stereo Radio Reception, fm radio antenna, fm stereo radio

Question
Garry, We received a Panasonic CD Stereo System for Xmas. However, the "inside" FM radio antenna is not sufficient to bring in our favorite radio stations which are 60 miles distant from our home. I get great reception as long as I hold the antenna in my hand. But, extreme interference when I let go. Any quick and easy tips? Thanks.
Mike

Answer
if you are talking about the twinlead 't' antenna, you wont get much reception, but for best with that antenna, hold antenna with arms stretched out and face direction station is coming from, rotate for best reception, and tack antenna to ceiling at the angle of best reception. if this is not good enough, there's a lot of amplified fm antennas that work quite well, but the best antennas mount outside, and if you get a directional antenna from radio shack, you can point it in direction of station, and better yet you can pick up stations you never knew existed. (i live in norfolk va area, i can pick up from philadelphia and jersey and new york, s.carolina, etc. outside antennas are a bit difficult to set up but are well worth it.(be sure to use rg-6 cable instead of rg-59 for even better signal reception.......g......
