Audio Systems: 1996Jeep Grand Cherokee in dash radio, fuse holders, fuse panel

Question
How do we open the dashboard to get to the radio? The radio was zapped with static electricity when I turned it off and hasn't worked since.  We do not have any instructions on how to get to a fuse or get to the radio itself.  Thank you for any assistance you can provide us.

If you take a close up look at the trim you may see screws hidden in the AC vents or in the ash tray (on most Cherokee's) If you do not see screws the trim may snap/pull away from the dash. As for the radio fuses, they should be in the fuse panel. If the stereo is an after market stereo, you should find two fuse holders behind the stereo in the wiring harness from the stereo.
