FOLLOWUP Question to your Reply:

Some sources claim that the DVD>VCR>TV connection gives very poor picture quality due to copy protection:
"DVDs are encoded with anti-copy technology that interferes with the VCR's circuitry." ---
Thus the possible need for an RF modulator.

Have you experienced this?

Dear Roark,

I just spent some time cruising the literature and a few web chat rooms looking for "the answer", and there doesn't seem to be only one.

My advice is to try connecting everything without the RF modulator and see what happens. Seems that some folks have success that way. Others seem to need the RF modulator. There doesn't seem to be any pattern that I can discern.

It can't hurt to try. Don't worry. You're not going to break anything.
