Audio Systems: Auto Radio Speakers, radio speakers, pig tail

My 90 XJ6's radio has given up the ghost and I've decided to change the radio out to a CD player. The available radios on the market all will handle 4 speakers, however, the XJ6 has 6 speakers. What can I do to use all 6 speakers by using an after-market radio?

Most likely the sound system in your Jag is a premium system that uses an external amp that powers the speakers. You may want to take a look at any good car stereo outlet to locate an adapter connector that will connect to the factory plugs in the dash so that you can wire the pig tail wires onto from an after market stereo. You may also want to search for factory replacement CD stereos that will simply plug into your existing connector/s without changing anything!
