Audio Systems: More speaker questions., krutchfield, plastic baskets

Question
Got my 'noises/resonance;/speaker concerns somewhat figured out.
Where can someone (like ME), get those speaker enclosures/boxes that fit behind speaker, (like for my 6x8"s.). I heard that crutchfield/krutchfield makes them, but for the life of me, I cannot find anyone that does.
I'm adding dynamat to the door enclosures, (between outer plastic cover and door, so hopefully that will help, but I heard that those 'baskets', REALLY help.
Thanks for any/all advice/info.
Steve

Answer
Baskets can be an aid.. in the right conditions.
They are certainly not a 'fix all' for any application, though.
As to dynamat application, try adding it to the inside of the exterior door skin as opposed to where you are applying it. It is hard to get the dynamat to lay on perfectly (and just as hard to get it to do its' job) due to the inner door panels' irregular shape. Most of the noise will come from the outer panel vibrating. A 3/8" foam liner would work very well where you are putting the dynamat.

As to attaining the enclosures.
I would try a local wholesale stereo shop. Second choice would be a retailer install shop. Third choice would be WWW.

I see these at crutchfield:

These are carpeted wooden boxes  (NOT the oem type plastic 'baskets' you'll find on some cars)... for those, I would go to a car dealer parts counter and inquire about availability. How well they might fit your vehicle and application is a toss up.

Good luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
