Audio Systems: Toyota Camry. Radio/Amp. problem, camry v6, robin lowe

Question
I have owned a Camry V6. GX estate 1993 from new.
It was built in USA. The radio has started making a loud "Popping" noise from the front left hand speakers on switch on, this eventually stops as the set warms up. I have discovered the amplifier under the front passenger seat--Toyota 86280-06020. UM223A Ser. No. R9000072. Any ideas? or where to get a circuit diagramme as nobody over here seems to know anything about it!
Yours Hopefully   Robin Lowe.

Answer
Robin,
The popping noise is caused by failing capacitors inside the amp. Remove the amp and have it checked out, in most cases when you open the amp you will smell a funny odor, kind of like rotting eggs! this is the smell of a leaky capacitor. PS, where do you live?
