Audio Systems: 850 volvo cd changer message E 02, volvo cd changer, volvo dealership

Question
I can remove the cassette. and inserted another
cassette but still get the same message.
Could it be that the laser is dirty.  how do I clean it.  Thanks

Honestly I would recommend that you call your Volvo dealership and ask them what the code means. You might be right in that the glass covering the actual laser is dirty, although I've never heard of that happening before in a car. That doesn't mean it's not possible though. It could be something else entirely different though. Sorry I couldn't be of more use, but when something goes wrong with a head unit (be it a CD player or tape deck), there isn't much advice I can offer.
