Audio Systems: 1987 Volvo Stereo Not working, volvo 240 dl, casette player

Question
Hi.  I was given an old volvo that runs really well (1987
Volvo 240 DL), but the stereo doesn't work.  The lights go
on from behind it, but not the lights on the stereo, and no
sound at all.  It is a volvo casette player/radio.  I replaced
the appropriate fuse.  I am thinking of taking it out to look
at the connection, but I don't know how to remove it.

I don't have a repair book for your vehicle so I cannot tell you how to remove the stereo. You may want to purchase a repair book for your vehicle from any good auto parts outlet. Please contact me direct for more info on your vehicle's stereo.
