Audio Systems: AM/FM 71 Roadrunner Just Static, fm radio, roadrunner

I have a 1971 Ply Roadrunner AM/FM radio that when tested will only get static in FM and very low static in AM. I have a ant. hooked up and if I turn up yhe volume in FM I get a load sort of buzz?

Jim,
Any number of problems can cause what you describe, however most likely the RF front end is at fault. It may only be due to a defective connection where the antenna jack connects to the circuit board or at the antenna trimmer cap. Please contact me direct for more info about your 71 RR radio.
