Audio Systems: cd stuck, radio cassette player, rubber rollers

Question
1999 Ford explorer with single cd player has a cd stuck in it; when you push the eject button error message reads "no"; it will not eject or play; radio/cassette player work fine; it happened once before, and my son successfully managed to get the cd out so i had him at the time use a cd cleaner in the player and it worked ok for a while before this happened again; now i can't get the cd out nor will it play; any suggestions?

Answer
Anita,
It's possible that the rubber rollers that move the CD in and out of the CD unit are glazed or slippery. Try cleaning the rollers with alcohol. You can also clean the lens in the CD pick up with a Qtip dampened with rubbing alcohol. You will have to remove the stereo from the dash.
