Audio Systems: passenger front speaker only not recieving power, faulty connections, premium system

I have a 93 Toyota MR2. I have an aftermarket Kenwood CD deck. The passenger front speaker went out before I replaced the deck. I recently went to change both the front speakers and found that there no power getting to the right front speaker. What could the problem be and how can I correct this.

Pull out the right front speaker and note the colors of the wires on the speaker. These wires will be the same color at the factory connector behind your stereo. Make sure that the wires don't have any broken/faulty connections. On the speakers in the doors, do you have two wires or four wires? If the speakers have four wires the factory sound system may be a premium system.
