Audio Systems: KEH-P 3600 Pioneer stereo cassette, incandescent lamps, replacement lamps

Question
I lost the lighting for the face plate on this radio. How is it lit?L.E.D or actual bulbs? Is there anyway to repair it?Where would the best place to get a new one (CHEAP)

Answer
Rip,
If this stereo is over 5 years old, you may have a hard time finding a new replacement. Have you tried calling Pioneer direct? If this face plate/control board is removable, it is most likely back lit with small incandescent lamps. You should be able to find replacement lamps at Radio Shack. Most of these lamps in the display heads are 12 volt lamps. Simply look at the size of them and match up some at Radio Shack.
