Audio Systems: Subs have no sound, ohm stereo, differnt places

Question
Cody,

I have a fresh install I did, everything was in great harmony! But now my subs wont work. I have checked all fuses and I mean all. My wiring is still great, my dash 3-ways are working off the head unit fine, do you think maybe the preouts are bad? or the channels fried on the amp? I have a Legacy head unit, VR3 200 watt amp, 2 10" MB Acoutics running 8 ohm stereo. Is there a way for me to test the resistance on the amp with a VOM that would let me know whats wrong? Any help would be great!!
Thanks,
Cory

Answer
Cory,

i'm not sure what the specifics are , because they change with differnent amps / brands ect.. give the manufactor a call at there customer line and see if they can shed some light into it for you .. they have what you should read when you probe the amp at differnt places, most companies are very happy to help you out and some arent so you will just have to try it ... is your amp powering up ? or does it get power and have a red protected light on ? .. if it does really dig into your ground connection to make sure its secure , within 3 feet of the amp and on a good bare metal surface .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
