Audio Systems: toyota factory stereo, toyota factory, car audio shop

Question
My son put coins in the radio.tape/6 disc in dash.  After 2 days it toally stopped working - it wont turn on at all.  No fuses were blown.  Brought it to a car audio shop who shipped it oout and returned it to me.  I plugged it in and it still didn't work.  It went back to the shop and was again supposedly repaired, but again when I hook it up it does not work.

I checked for power at the 14 pin (+/-) jack.  I get 12 volts on one pin, swithced with the ignition.  I do not have a non switched 12 volt pin.

Should I have a non switched 12 volt pin?  If so, do you think that is the problem?   What is a good way to verify which if any pins should be hot all of the time and how can I verify what fuse would be feeding that pin?

I am searching for wiring diagrams on ebay but I though you might be able to help me chase this down.

Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Answer
John,
I have hundreds of wiring diagrams for most vehicles as far back as the 1950's, please give me the make and model of your vehicle and the complete model number of your stereo.
You should have two 12 volt supply lines to your stereo. one, hot at all times and one 12volts with the key on.
