Do i have to take out the rear seat in order to get to the rear speakers under the rear deck, or do the speaker covers themselves come off from the top?

Andy,
You should be able to remove the speakers from inside of the trunk of your car. However,I'm not real sure about your car. I do remember removing the speakers from the rear deck on one model, from the top deck on the inside of the car! If you are nor sure you may want to contact your lexus dealer and ask the correct way to remove/replace the speakers.
