Audio Systems: Car radio volume/ on/off doesnt work, chrysler sebring convertible, chrysler sebring

I have a 1998 Chrysler Sebring convertible.  The volume control/ on/off button does not work.  I took it apart and cleaned the little contact. It still doesn't work.  Any suggestions? Do I need a new part or a whole new radio?  Thank you.

  most of the time small components arent available and really hard to find qualified people to do the repair, but before you do buy a new unit try some of your local tv repair shops to see if they can take a look at the unit.. if that doesnt work out you can pick up an aftermarket unit, harnes adapter and dash kit from radio shack or other retail store and do the install yourself, but some stores offer free installion if you buy from their stores, circuit city and best buy are a few .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
