Audio Systems: no Fm reception, screw driver, fm reception

Hi

I have an old car stereo. EPI LSR-20
I pulled it out of an early 90's import car. The entire thing works great
Except No fm reception. It tunes to the stations digitaly just fine, but no sound. Just static.

Am and cassette work fine.

What is most likley cause? i don't mind learning and trying to change a componnent or two.

Mr. Puter,
If the AM section is working at least you know that the antenna is OK. The problem must be within the FM tuner module. If you have the stereo out of the dash and powered up, tune to a known station and with a plastic handled screw driver, lightly tap on the case. If the FM reception comes in a defective connection is the problem. After tapping on the stereo and the FM does not come in, some troubleshooting of the FM tuner section is needed.
