Audio Systems: Stereo problem!?, jeep grandcherokee, power antenna

Ok, I just installed a stereo into my '93 Jeep GrandCherokee, a Jvc...no subs or amp.  I bought a snapon wire harness to make install easier.  There are a few wires just hanging that I havent used: Illumination/Dimmer(orange), Power Antenna(dk. blue), Amp Remote(blue&white).  Everything else on it is used, and was connected to the same color of wire.  Everything said the same except for the red wire, from radio it said accessory and from connector it said 12v igniton/switched.  Everything else was same color so I figured that would be right, im not sure.  When I goto start the radio it will display the time for appx. 5 seconds then shut off.  I can put in a cd and it will say loading for 5 seconds then go blank again.  No sound or anything and no buttons work, cd is not spinning etc..  Do I have something wired wrong or something?

 if your wires matched up color for color and you wires the 12v ignition to the 12volt accessory then everything should be good .. just double check all the wiring make sure all your connections are good and wrapped good with electric tape and seperated .. also check all of your fuses .. and you might read in your manual for a reset button .. if none of this works out .. i would take the unit back and have it swapped for another .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
