Audio Systems: Car stereo, radio unit, stero

Question
When I get in my car in the morning and start the car the stero will not turn on, it will start working again later but how do i get it to work as soon as i get into the car everytime. It's almost as if the stereo isn't getting any power but I've checked all the fuses and everything seems to be in working order. The stereo does work just not if the car has been sittin for a while. Does any of this sound familiar can you help me

Answer
Errol,

some cars have a delay but none should take over 30 seconds to a minute to become working, it sounds like a head unit problem, most likly a loose connection at the base of the unit where it makes contact with the power harness .. pull the unit out and unplug/plug the harness back and and press forward towards the unit on the wires to make sure they are seated good then try to turn the unit on, and wiggle the wires to see if there is any changes .. if there it i would say you need to replace the radio unit .. its fairly common for units to get loose and give problems .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
