Audio Systems: car stereo, subwolfers, inline fuse

Question
Hello, recently i had my car stereo put in and it is a head unit, amp, and two subwolfers however i the subwolfers were working but now they arent do you have any ideas on why that could be?

Answer
Jake,

i really would like some more information , if you didnt do the install yourself and since it sounds very recent i would go back to the shop that done the install its their job to make sure nothing goes wrong within a certain period and should be the place to handle all of your warranty work on your amps and subwoofers and the headunit .. now if you did the install yourself .. check to make sure your amp has power .. if it doesnt trace the power cable back make sure the inline fuse isnt blown and also that there are no cuts or damged places on the cable , and make sure the cable is securly fastened to the battery.. also check the fuses that are on the amp for blows .. next move to the ground make sure the ground cable is secured to a shiney bare metal surface such as the frame or uni body.. now if your unit does get power, check your sub woofer speaker cables make sure they are connected nice and tight and that the cables are free of any damage .. after all of this if you still have no sound get a test speaker and wire to your amp to see if it produces any sound at all if it does .. then your subs are the problem .. if it doesnt its more than likly the amp .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
