i Have a 1998 camry le with just a tape player and a radio, i bought a factory toyota cd player and it needs to be installed and i need to put in where the empty compartment is. do you know how to do that?
Answer -
Hello Joyner,
The CD unit is it a CD unit only or is it a CD stereo unit? Also is this CD unit of the same year as your vehicle? If your factory stereo is a CD ready stereo, the CD unit should simply plug into the rear of the factory stereo receiver. please let me know more about your CD unit.

it is a cd unit only. I need to know how to take out the factory stero receiver so i can plug in the cd unit into the back of the factory stero receiver? thanks

Answer
Joyner,
You will need to remove the trim from around the factory stereo to gain access to the screws that hold the stereo into the dash. I don't have a service book for this vehicle so I cannot give you the exact details. you may want to stop by your local dealer to ask some one in the service dept how to remove the trim.
