Audio Systems: Replacing CD in car radio, wire harness, car radio

I have a 1993 Corvette and my CD player is not working. Can I replace just the CD player and get a CD player that plays MP3 files? If so, where would I buy this?

 yes you can buy an aftermarket unit i buy all of my electronics from www.etronics.com they have great prices.. but you can also look at crutchfield.com they are more expensive but they have great service and help .. now since this is a vette you might run into a hang up if the system is amplified by bose/infinity ect.. go to radio shack and tell them you need a wire harness adapter kit for a 93 vette *also give them the info if the car has a factory amplified system* they should be able to order or have one there that will keep everything simple and neat expect to cash out about 10-30 bucks for the adapter but it will make the install so much easier .. also you might need a dash install kit so ask the salesperson at radio shack about that too.. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
