Audio Systems: Bose Clarion Radio/CD Changer, clarion radio cd, 2001 infiniti qx4

I have a 2001 Infiniti QX4 with a Bose Clairon AM/FM/Tape/6 CD Changer (OEM) that has recently stopped working.  When turned on it gives "Err 2" message.  Is there anything I can do to correct the problem before turning to the dealer for repair.  I have extensive experience in mechanics and some electrical expertise.  Can I find instructions on the internet for the removal of the radio/cd changer.

Hello Joe,
The Err 2 message means that something is jammed in the CD unit. I find on many of these units that small pieces of any one of the trays can break off and jam up the CD player assembly. The only recourse that you have is to have the CD player unit replaced due to small parts not being available.
