Audio Systems: Box selection, ohm subs, air boxes

Question
Hey what up cody? Sorry to keep buggin' u about the same stuff but I have a question about what type of box I should get. I am getting 2 12 inch Kicker Comp VR 4 ohm subs and they are going to be in the trunk of a medium sized car. I am wondering what type of box would be the best for loudness and quality for these particular subs...ported enclosed, sealed enclosed, or open air? Even seperate open air boxes?

Answer
Adam ,

No problem man what i'm here for.. open air is no way to go unless thats what the subs are specially made for but open air "sucks" some people would swear by them but they just dont have the sound .. now here is a good tip give kicker a call or email ask them what box does best they will tell you the exact cubic feet of air space you need so you can start looking for a box to match up with .. * this is how the pros do it* now just from my experience a good sealed medium sized boxed should do the trick but i like a sealed box the same size box or little bigger thats ported would give you a differnt more "boomy" bass than the sealed so its your call on that .. most all the time i recommend bandpass because they are the funK but i dont think kicker recommends them i could be wrong so give them a call and check to make sure... if you have anything else man dont trip let me know here is a good site that i buy most all of my stuff from might save you some money
