Please help me out. Thanks Jimmy

Answer
Jimmy,

bad things happen when you "mess" with things a good rule is if you didnt install it never really mess with anything "wiring" wise unless you talk to the person/shop that did the install there are alot of factors that play on simple wire placement and even button selections on the amp so one miss step can burn up a high dollar amp.. but enough of that lets get to the nitty gritty .. ok what has happened with the amp is it has self protect circuits *most good quality amps do* this will shut the amp down when it gets overheated also called *thermal shutdown protection* and it usually turns on a red light on your amp to let you know its protected .. most amps blow after a few times of shutting down so consider yourself lucky.. now some of the things that cause this would be crossed wires *the reason i gave the speech at the begining* most common is a power/ground swap either on the amp or crossed speaker wires on your subs .. which is where i think your problem is since you said you messed with them .. since i'm not there to look and see how everything needs to go back here are a few options the obvious is take it back to the shop that did the install but if your short of cash or want to save some we all do .. find out the ohm rating for your subwoofers and all the wattage info from the subs and the amp and match them up according say your sub/s run at 300 watts RMS @ 4ohms and you amp pushes 200 watts RMS @ 4ohms wire it up .. most subs and amps have differnt ohm/watt ratings here is my site that will help you in wiring them up
